Summer Sales Intern

Leesburg, VA — Hybrid
Department: Inside Sales
Reports to: Inside Sales Manager

Position Summary

Vertosoft is seeking a motivated, business-minded, and personable team player to join our Government Sales team as a Sales Intern for the summer. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in technology sales with a focus on the public sector.

As an SDR Intern, you will support our technology partners through targeted sales campaigns, lead generation, and business development activities. You’ll assist in executing go-to-market strategies, qualifying leads, and building relationships with government prospects. Interns will receive public sector training and exposure to sales tools and processes to help prepare for future full-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

· Support sales campaigns in collaboration with technology partners targeting government prospects

· Assist in qualifying inbound and outbound leads into sales opportunities

· Conduct account-level research to identify key decisionmakers and buying signals

· Help build and maintain customer relationships through email and phone outreach

· Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and campaign targeting

· Track activities and opportunities in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)

· Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

· Customer service or sales experience

· Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms

Compensation & Benefits

· Hourly wage commensurate with experience

· Internship is non-exempt and not eligible for benefits

· Hybrid work schedule (Leesburg, VA)

· Training and mentorship provided

· Opportunity to be considered for full-time SDR Level I roles upon successful completion of the internship
