Occupational Therapist – Home Health

Albuquerque, NM | Home Health

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services to an assigned caseload of 8–12 adult and geriatric home health patients
Deliver patient care within a 35-mile mileage territory; mileage is reimbursed at the federal IRS standard mileage rate
Complete clinical documentation using Cerner electronic health records
Meet productivity standards of 27 points per 40-hour week, with each visit type weighted accordingly
Float within scope of practice as needed to meet operational demands
Complete CYFD fingerprinting upon arrival, required for home health clinicians due to potential presence of children in patient homes

Required Qualifications

Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license (pending state license accepted at time of submission)
NBCOT certification required
MOAB certification required ; candidates without current MOAB certification must complete and pass a 4-hour in-person de-escalation course during orientation week — failure to pass may result in contract cancellation
BLS certification required
Minimum 1–2 years of occupational therapy experience
Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations in a home health setting
Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
Prior travel therapy experience welcomed; first-time travelers also considered
